Most of the private and faith-based schools we work with across the country are involved in one or more fundraising initiatives. Often these activities take the form of magazine drives, candy sales, and a host of other activities. These campaigns can be successful, but rarely do they draw on the power of technology to help bring together the rich sense of community and close contacts invariably found in private and faith-based education. Enter FACTS Donor Management, a new service for elementary and secondary schools being unveiled this year that harnesses the power of e-mail and the Internet to achieve new levels of fundraising success.

Donor Management supports Winchester Thurston School's Buy a Brick fundraiser. Weekly e-mails like this are sent to the school's database promoting the campaign.

About FACTS Donor Management

FACTS Donor Management is completely different and based on a model of successful fundraising used by many people and organizations. Through our new Donor Management online fundraising program, the school combines the power of online fundraising with the coordination and support from FACTS staff. We help the schools identify a project, develop a Web presence to communicate the value of the project, and utilize an e-mail platform to make it easy for people in the school (both families and staff) to e-mail fundraising appeals.

We're focusing on schools that see Donor Management as an innovative annual fundraising strategy and understand that this system is the first step toward a long-term strategic development program. They recognize that consistent donor communication and major gift/capital campaign planning are also critical considerations. Donor Management is here to provide strategy and support every step of the way.

Winchester Thurston and FACTS Donor Mangement team up for the Home Stretch Challenge!

Over the past 12 months, Winchester Thurston School (WT) and FACTS Donor Management have teamed up to ensure a strong finish to the final phase of WT's capital campaign, the Home Stretch Challenge. WT utilizes Donor Management to promote its Buy a Brick initiative. Through the Donor Management system, FACTS provides technology, design, training, and ongoing support.

In addition, FACTS provides WT with ongoing communication support to donors and key contacts. Consistent, vibrant communication to donors is crucial, and WT relies on FACTS to help develop messaging, create and send HTML e-mails, and monitor the program through online reporting and analysis.

Your Vision
Winchester Thurston School communicates with top donors and prospective donors for its Home Stretch Challenge using e-mail.

Maura Farrell, WT's director of institutional advancement, says, "As we entered the home stretch of our capital campaign, we received a $1 million challenge, and we wanted to create a sense of urgency while demonstrating the impact of giving. We needed to share our story in creative ways with alumni, donors, and potential donors. The FACTS Donor Management team has collaborated with our staff to provide that creative spark."
