FACTS Education Solutions is looking for teachers and school administrators interested in being a FACTS Ed coach. We provide training to ensure our coaches are prepared to use our Vosaic video software and work with teachers to improve teaching and learning. A few things to note about the role:

  • Time commitment is about three hours per week and coaches make their own schedule
  • Coaching conversations take place virtually or in person
  • Requirements include five years of successful K-12 teaching experience, a master’s degree in education, and experience leading professional learning or coaching sessions
  • Hourly coaching rate is dependent on expertise

Position Description:

Over the course of a six-week coaching cycle, teachers record and share a lesson and then meet with their coaches to jointly discover focus areas of teacher development that will lead to improved student achievement. Through a weekly schedule of lesson observations and feedback, the coach and teacher maintain a laser focus on the high-yield strategies that will improve teaching and learning.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build trust and effective coaching relationships with teachers, administrators, and other coaches
  • Facilitate teacher goal setting and student outcomes with evidence
  • Watch and mark up teachers’ recorded lessons, add feedback via comments
  • Engage in weekly videoconference calls with teachers
  • Provide insight and direction for classroom management, instruction, and assessment
  • Support teachers in unpacking and implementing evidence-based, highly effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Develop coaching schedules and complete coaching session logs
  • Recommend additional resources, materials, tools, and technology to support the teacher

Position Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or education-related field (e.g. technology, mathematics)
  • Minimum five years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 setting
  • Experience leading professional learning and/or job-embedded coaching sessions and/or instructional coaching
  • Theoretical knowledge of content and pedagogy
  • Strong collaboration, communication, documentation, and presentation skills
