As of July 1, 2020, RenWeb Desktop, the Staff app for iOS and Android, and the Staff HD app for iPad users will be unavailable.
What does that mean?
- Users will be unable to login to RenWeb Desktop.
- Staff and Staff HD apps will be unavailable in the App Store and the Google Play store and users will be unable to login to Staff or Staff HD apps they had previously downloaded to their devices.

Why are RenWeb Desktop and the Staff apps being sunsetted?
RenWeb Desktop is our legacy SIS product that was the precursor to FACTS SIS (formerly known as RenWeb 1). FACTS SIS is the modern replacement for RenWeb Desktop, and is the platform that we will continue to develop and innovative on. The functionality, accessibility, and enhancements available in FACTS SIS make the legacy RenWeb Desktop product redundant and obsolete.
The Staff app and Staff HD app have not been substantially updated since 2014 due to development focus being placed on the FACTS SIS platform and on the Classroom area of FACTS SIS in particular. Due to the responsive design throughout FACTS SIS, the Staff app and Staff HD app are redundant and obsolete.
What is the timeline for RenWeb Desktop and the Staff apps to be sunsetted?
This product sunset will occur in two phases:
- Phase I: Desktop, Staff, and Staff HD will be unsupported as of July 1, 2019.
- Phase II: Desktop, Staff, and Staff HD will be unavailable as of July 1, 2020.
Unsupported means:
- Users will no longer be able to access Desktop help documentation in FACTS SIS Help.
- Users will no longer have access to the Desktop download link in FACTS SIS Help.
- SIS developers will not be fixing bugs or making enhancements/updates to Desktop, the Staff app, or the Staff HD app.
- SIS account managers will not be providing training or support for Desktop, the Staff app, or the Staff HD app.
Unavailable means:
- Users will be unable to login to RenWeb Desktop.
- Staff and Staff HD apps will be unavailable in the App Store and the Google Play store and users will be unable to login to Staff or Staff HD apps they had previously downloaded to their devices.
