Padua College is an independent Catholic school for boys in years 5 to 12. Located in Kedron, Queensland, the school was established in 1956 and today educates around 1,500 students.

Padua College was one of the first schools in Australia to implement FACTS School Management (then known as PCSchool) in the 1990s. Since then, the platform has become a key operational tool, allowing Padua to streamline processes, reduce administration, and effectively manage the school’s growth and evolution.

“FACTS is great when it comes to capturing complex family relationships and managing communication accordingly,” says Sue Kaminski, Database Manager at Padua College. “For example, a father might belong to one family but have a child with another. With FACTS, we can manage access at a granular level, ensuring each parent only sees the information relevant to their relationship with the student.”

“We really appreciate the government reporting module – it’s incredibly easy to use. With just the push of a button, the system provides all the data we need. Recently, FACTS saved me days of work by allowing me to use CENSUS data to identify visa students, international students, and indigenous students, which I then used for NAPLAN reporting,” says Sue.

Padua’s implementation of FACTS Tuition Management was a game-changer for the college’s finances, driving a 15% reduction in outstanding debt and an 80% decrease in manual in-person payments within two years.

“We find FACTS to be very well designed, with flexibility and plenty of room for customisation,” says Rama Chintapelli, Head of ICT Services at Padua College. “The support is great – the FACTS team are available at any time and always happy to share their knowledge to help us solve problems.”
