Differentiation

Teachers know they must employ instructional strategies to differentiate in response to students’ readiness, or interest, or learning profile. We help teachers use the four ways of thinking about how students learn to inform their differentiated instruction design. Teachers will learn to proactively differentiate and adapt in the moment to fine tune instruction for their students by incorporating go-to, reliable strategies to ensure student engagement in the learning process. We explore the progression from surface to deep learning, knowledge to conceptual understanding, skill introduction and practice to skill mastery, placing emphasis on the importance of both process and product.
