Assessment

It is essential that teachers establish strategies that continually measure student learning and be able to make real-time adjustments. We help teachers align assessments with the objective and integrate checks for understanding at the beginning, middle, and end of a lesson to systematically monitor each student’s progress toward mastery of the objective. Using questioning and kind, timely, specific, and clear feedback, teachers address student misconceptions, lack of understanding and/or performance. By clearly communicating the criteria for assessing student work and adapting methods for assessment to meet the needs of each student, teachers and students celebrate student growth and achievement against lesson objectives and student goals.
