Financial aid season is approaching fast, and with it comes an update to the Grant Management Funds page. FACTS has redesigned this tool to make it more intuitive, powerful, and efficient. The good news? All your data remains the same—the presentation is just dramatically better.
Why This Redesign Matters
The new Funds page was built to address real workflow challenges. If you’ve ever found yourself hunting for controls scattered across a page, struggling to see totals while scrolling, or wishing you could edit multiple records at once more efficiently, this update is for you.
Starting September 15th, this new view will become your standard. Until then, you can toggle between the old and new views to familiarize yourself.
Navigation That Makes Sense
The horizontal menu bar at the top has moved to a clean vertical sidebar on the left. The same options are there—Funds, Award Summaries, Award Notifications, and Student Verification—just organized in a way that’s easier to scan and more modern. Better yet, if you switch terms while reviewing a specific tab, you’ll stay on that same tab instead of bouncing back to a default view.
A Data Grid Built for Real Work
The report grid at the bottom of the page shows the most noticeable changes. Instead of a static table, you now have an interactive data grid with improved controls:
-
See more at a glance:
Defaults to 50 rows instead of 20, so you can review more applicants without extra clicks
-
Pin key columns:
Keep Student Name or other critical fields visible while scrolling horizontally across your data
-
Sticky headers and totals:
Column headers and summary totals stay visible as you scroll, so you always know where you are
-
Better readability:
Alternating row colors and column borders make long lists easier to follow
-
Quick filtering and sorting:
Every column header includes an inline filter menu
Smarter Bulk Editing
Editing has been reorganized. Instead of dropdowns and inline options, you get two clear, separate tools:
-
Bulk Edit
Select multiple rows, then update award status, student tuition, or assigned awards all at once—and now you can edit multiple fields in a single operation.
-
Column Editing
Choose specific columns to make editable directly in the grid, edit values in place, and save.
And the system is designed to warn you about unsaved changes, so you won’t accidentally lose work!
Better Control Over What You See
Want to hide personally identifiable information? Toggle it on or off instantly instead of digging through settings. Need fewer columns? Drop down the columns menu to hide any field you don’t need right now. The page adapts to your workflow, not the other way around.
Faster Actions
Export and awarding features are now built directly into the toolbar, eliminating the need to hunt for Print View Options or buried links. Export to CSV or Excel in one click. Assign calculated awards or import awards without leaving the main view.
When Does This Go Live?
The new view launches permanently on September 15th. Before then, you have the flexibility to switch back and forth between old and new to get comfortable. After September 15th, the classic view will no longer be available.

The Bottom Line
The data hasn’t changed. Your workflows don’t need to change. What has changed is the tool itself—and it’s better. You’ll work faster, see more information at once, and waste less time hunting for controls. As you gear up for financial aid season, that efficiency gain will matter.
Explore the new view today, and you’ll be ready to hit the ground running on September 15th.
