Inspired by his parents, who were both faith-based educators, Tewes is passionate about enhancing the affordability of education and advancing student achievement. As President of Nelnet and CEO of FACTS/Nelnet Business Services, his vision is to establish FACTS as a world-class education company, helping students reach their potential, empowering teachers, and supporting administrators and parents. DeeAnn has served as President of Nelnet Business Services, a subsidiary of Nelnet Inc., since 2013. In this role, DeeAnn is responsible for four different business divisions with companies focused on payment and technology solutions primarily serving the K-12 and Higher Education markets. Her organization includes over 1,300 employees in the United States and Australia. Her leadership focuses on a client-first approach, open communication, innovation, and dedication to the growth and development of her teams. Prior to joining Nelnet, DeeAnn was with Wells Fargo for over 20 years. She worked in mid-market lending and eventually led the wealth management division for Nebraska and Kansas.

Scott Spethman serves as the president of FACTS, where he leads the strategic direction, customer success initiatives, and overall growth of the company. With over 35 years of experience in the education industry, Scott is celebrated for his servant leadership, unwavering focus on the customer experience, and steadfast commitment to excellence. Since assuming the role of president in 2020, Scott has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and elevating the education experience for FACTS customers. His extensive background includes key leadership positions at FACTS and its parent company, Nelnet. Scott holds a master’s degree in leadership from Bellevue University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Thomas University.
