K-12 Math (CCSS+NCTM)

Excellent mathematics instruction is focused, coherent, and rigorous. We help teachers learn and cultivate the 8 Mathematical Practices of the Common Core Standards for Mathematics that will ensure that those three important descriptors are met. By focusing students on the major work of the grade level and providing instruction that is coherent, student learning builds on prior knowledge and logically progresses from surface learning, to deep learning, to transfer learning. Students develop a deep, authentic command of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application of concepts and skills when rigorous instruction is designed and provided.
