Preconference workshops offered on Monday, July 8

Workshops are limited in size to ensure that time and attention from the instructor remains personal, and that there will be ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers. Each workshop is designed to orient the user and provide an overview into the capabilities and features FACTS offers. Join us Monday, July 8, 2024 from either 9 AM – 12 PM or 2 PM – 5 PM before the conference begins, and make sure you get the most out of the best Elevate conference yet! Preconference registrants can choose ONE workshop to attend in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Preconference Workshops

  • This workshop is for current users of Advanced Accounting that have specific questions.  It will be a Q&A session to learn from your instructor and peers and leave with an overall better understanding of your accounting information from FACTS.

  • This session is designed for new administrators using FACTS SIS. In this training you will learn how to customize your database in defined lists, portfolio groups and user defined fields as well as how to access and manage student information regarding behavior, parent teacher conference information, student portfolio and student user defined fields. This session also covers how to send emails to your families, manage their access in Family Portal and reviews the basics of managing Attendance and running Administrator, Attendance and Create a Report in Report Manager.  
     

  • This session is designed for new administrators using FACTS SIS. In this training you will learn how to navigate the FACTS SIS home page to locate your resources along with learning how to configure and manage your system’s basic configurations such as: year and term, system defaults, grade levels and attendance including marking off school holidays. You will also learn how to manage your Family Portal configuration settings as well as review announcement and calendar event creation to best communicate with your families.

  • This session is designed for new administrators and teachers using FACTS SIS. In this training you will learn how to navigate the Classroom menu, customize your classroom view, record attendance, take lunch orders, send email messages, and access student information via the Classroom. You will also learn how to build and grade assignments in the Gradebook as well as how to run class and assignment reports via Report Manager.  

  • In this workshop there will be a short review of the processes to close out a school year and open a new year in FACTS SIS followed by facilitated working time to collaborate and to walk through closing out your 23-24 school year and preparing to open up your 24-25 school year.  

  • In this workshop there will be a short review of the Group Enrollment tool followed by facilitated working time to collaborate and create your K-8th grade schedules. To get the most out of this workshop, please come prepared with your schedule templates, patterns and class sections created or copied in the 24-25 schedule year.  

  • In this workshop there will be a short review of schedule creation utilizing the Auto Scheduler tool followed by facilitated working time to collaborate and create your 9th-12th grade schedules. To get the most out of this workshop, please come prepared with all your 9th-12th grade students having course requests collected for the 24-25 schedule year. 

  • New to the world of admissions and need some professional development to get you grounded in your position? Learn what is best practice in each area of admissions from an Enrollment Management Pro. Gain an awareness and appreciation for the numerous ways you can customize your FACTS experience to supercharge your admission process. 

  • (For those who have navigated 2+ admissions seasons with FACTS.) Embrace the full capabilities of your A&E system. Comfortable navigating your A&E screens but ready to take it up a notch? We’ll provide a quick check-up and then prescribe the most helpful advanced features in Inquiry, Application and Enrollment. You’ll walk away empowered to utilize your resources to accomplish more in less time.  

  • In this session, we will review multiple options for adding transactions to pending agreements and how to finalize agreements based on the schools’ configured boarding method. Additionally, this session will discuss the importance of roster management within FACTS Tuition Management.  

  • In this session, we will review all the different service options that are available in the Service Agreement and Service Billing screens within FACTS Tuition Management. Additionally, this session will identify best practices when using corrections vs credits.

  • This session is for schools who are (or are going to be) Premier Integrated. In this session, you will learn how to manage your roster by utilizing both FACTS SIS and FACTS Tuition Management together, tips and tricks on ways to make keeping a clean roster easier, how demographic information is entered and updated for a Premier school, and best practices for split and complex family situations. 

  • This session is for schools who are (or are going to be) Premier Integrated. In this session, you will learn how to utilize Premier Billing for incidental charges, including options for: Cafeteria, Child Care, General Charges, Course Fees, FACTS Cash Register, and Recurring Charges. 

  • During this session we will dive into the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment and how you can utilize it to streamline your awarding process and fund management.  In this session we will: Look into fund creation and how internal tracking and custom fund configurations can help award eligibility determination, explore award methodologies and how they can be used to help calculate awards, go over Award summaries and how to create custom ones to help organize data, learn how to customize award notifications to clearly communicate awards and denials. We will also touch on student verification and how it can help bridge gaps between departments or institutions.
